My work is inspired by nature, by growing up on a farm, and by manual work. Landscapes and the change of colors as well as forms during the different seasons of the year fascinate me. They are the main foundation of my inspiration.

Living in a city today is a contrasting source: Infrastructure and architecture of cities are landscapes that are changed by people.

While seeing and experiencing the complexity of a landscape, the lines and textures leave a mark on the unconscious.

In my hand painted patterns I am trying to transform these unconscious landscapes into lines, shapes, and colors.

Patterns, drawings, and fabrics look different on a screen. Designing with manual technics like drawing, painting, or printing on paper show different results than that of designs of digital drawings and digital designed patterns.

All paintings shown on my site are hand painted. Until now i have abstained of digital retouching.

Please keep in mind that it might be advised to edit the hand painted patterns for specific use.

about me

I am a Fashion Designer specialized in hand drawing and painting.

My degrees are in Fashion Design and Dressmaking. Since having worked for several years in Paris, France, as a freelance designer in Trend Research, Fashion and Textile Design I never let go of my passion for patterns and fabrics and it was in the winter of 2019 / 2020 that I started to paint patterns again.

Living in Hamburg now I am specialized in creating DIY’s for editorial publishings: designing projects, making patterns, manufacturing prototypes, and writing instructions for editorials. I create moldboards for productions and realize decorating projects, mostly for the seasonal holidays. Please find a short selection of samples of my work for editorials (print) below the text here.

In 2013 I was commissioned by the BLV Verlag to write a book about hand embroidery and sewing projects inspired by nature: “Natürlich schick gestickt” (BLV, München, 2014).
